Coast Hotel Kamloops
Intermediates / Advanced: 13th - 16th August 2026
Beginners to Quiltworx: 17th - 18th August 2026
Experienced Quiltworx instructor Anne Hall will be offering two classes at the Coast Kamloops Hotel & Conference Centre in August. These courses will be run as "no frills" courses in order to try and keep costs down, so there is no accommodation, food or beverages offered (except water), due to the hotel costs (and their additional taxes amounting to 23%). This offers you more flexibility and affordability!

The Quilting: 4 day class

4 day class for intermediate / advanced: "Luminary"
Important: you MUST have had experience at prepping and making a Quiltworx pattern, as you will need to prep this BEFORE you come to class.
PLEASE NOTE: BOOKING PRIORITY will be given to those doing the class project. You will be asked on the booking form whether you will be doing the class project or bringing something else.
Cost: $380 for 4 days, 13th - 16th August.
For additional 2 days (17th + 18th), IF SPACE PERMITS: $190
Sewing room open until 10pm each day.
We will be making the brand new Luminary quilt. It will be offered in 3 sizes: Wall 68" x 68", Queen 99" x 99", King 118" x 118".
Kits will be offered, using batiks. I always cut VERY generously, so that you will have extra fabric for any "oopsies":
1. Rainbow, as shown but with your choice of light or dark background;
2. A custom colourway using Quiltster computer design service ($50 extra charge as it can take hours to do each design in consultation with you).
Kits and pattern will be mailed ahead of class. Fabrics will be labelled, and you will need to bag and prep beforehand.
Kit prices are currently unknown as the pattern and yardage are not yet published. Kits will be invoice separately, and you will be able to spread the cost over several months for no extra charge.
The Quilting: Beginners
- 2 day Beginners to Quiltworx class
- Extra spaces may be taken by quilters from the 4 day class who wish to extend their sewing days
Cost: $190 for 2 days, 17th - 18th August.
Sewing room open until 10pm on first day, 6pm on second day.

-
No prior Quiltworx experience is required. Anne will take you through everything from preparing your papers, preparing and bagging your fabrics, and the basic Foundation Paper Piecing technqiues.
-
The project will be Desert Sky 48" x 54", which is extremely versatile. If you don't want to make the lap quilt, you can rearrange your blocks into a table runner and table mats, or you can expand your quilt (with the purchase of extra papers at minimal cost) to a twin or even Queen size.
-
The project is fat quarter friendly. You may bring your own fabrics (Anne will give you guidelines, but you MUST have chosen and prepared your fabrics before class), or Anne will kit this for you in your choice of colours (invoiced separately).
Pattern cost: $32 + tax
Kit including pattern, fabric for top and binding (48" x 54"): $155
Extra papers: $19
