Anne has now moved back to Vancouver Island! The husband's retirement did not really happen after all. After a particularly long winter, and then many, MANY bugs, combined with a few other reasons such as a 55km each way trip just to collect fabric deliveries from the post office, Anne and her husband decided to move back to the island. Bugs aside, her son and (almost) daughter-in-law live nearby. A new studio is in the making - a huge space, which will be bigger and better than any before!
"Methinks it is a token of healthy and gentle characteristics, when women of high thoughts and accomplishments love to sew; especially as they are never more at home with their own hearts than while so occupied."
Nathaniel Hawthorne, The Marble Faun, 1859
