Mini Mystery 

(+ 5 UFO places for 28th and 29th only)

Seniors Centre, Brock Mall, Kamloops, BC

Taught by Quiltworx Certified Instructor, Anne Hall, you will have the opportunity to do a 4 day mini mystery quilt. 

 

To keep prices low and allow you to sleep in your own bed at night, this is a non-residential, no-frills class.  You may bring your own lunch, or there is a bakery, Tim Hortons and Save On, all within a minute's walk from our quilting space.  We will be right across the parking lot from Heather's Fabric Shelf!

How does it work?

Suitable for confident beginners and above, you will learn a number of the Quiltworx paper piecing techniques, while working on a 68" x 68" quilt.  The best bit?  All of your bag organization and cutting will be done for you!  Your mystery project will unfold over the course of 4 days.  At the end, you will have at least ¼ of your quilt done, so that you have covered all of the skills required to finish on your own.  And if you get stuck, Anne is only a phone call, Facetime or email away to get you going again.

Your project is a 68" x 68" paper pieced quilt.  All of your fabrics for the quilt top and binding, the pattern and preparation is included in the class price!  You will be given two colour ways from which to choose before the class.  There is an option to extend this to a Queen (99" x 99") if you wish, using coordinating fabrics, IF the queen is ordered in advance (otherwise, I may not have enough fabric).

Finally, we are limiting our class size to around 12 participants.  Lots of teacher time! 

 

On the 28th and 29th May, we are offering 5 UFO places, as our Mystery quilters will be up and running by then!

Price

CDN $495 + GST, which INCLUDES:

  • Class instruction from Quiltworx Certified Instructor, 4 days from 9.30 am on 26th May until 5 pm on 29th May 2022.

  • Your Quiltworx pattern and instructions 

  • Your foundation papers, all pre-cut and bagged

  • Batik fabrics for your 68" x 68" quilt, all cut and organized into bags and ready to sew

  • Binding

Queen addition (price includes papers, pattern and coordinating fabrics to make your quilt up to 99" x 99"):  CDN $260 + tax

  • Deposit of $100 secures your place.  Payment in instalments is acceptable.

UFO Days:  CDN $60/day + GST

  • Available on Saturday 28th May and Sunday 29th May only.

Sew Peaceful Retreat Cancellation Policy

 

Before booking with Sew Peaceful Quilting, please read the cancellation policy carefully!

All deposits are due when invoiced after registration, and are non-refundable, except in exceptional circumstances, to cover administrative costs.

​

For instalment payments, if your full payment is not received within 4 weeks of the due date (see your individual retreat information for this date), or we have not been contacted by you to arrange payment, you will forfeit your deposit and your spot in the retreat will be opened to the public. (This will only happen after repeated efforts have been made to contact you for payment, by email first and then finally by phone).  All payments up to this date are also non-refundable.

Any cancellations by you will forfeit all of the paid fees to date, unless other arrangements are personally made with Sew Peaceful Quilting.  However, we understand that sometimes illness and tragedy occur, which may make it impossible for you to attend the retreat. We understand that there are circumstances beyond your control, but it also leaves us with a spot that we are unable to fill. Under these circumstances and at the sole discretion of Sew Peaceful Quilting, you may receive a full or partial credit against a future retreat or workshop (NOT valid for fabric or patterns) organized specifically by Sew Peaceful Quilting, but you will forfeit your original deposit amount. Our ability to transfer you will be subject to availability and we will only transfer your retreat sign up once.

For cancellations within 8 weeks of the workshop, no refunds are available unless you are able to find a replacement, but you will forfeit your original deposit to cover administrative costs.

For US Customers:  please note that all transactions will take place in Canadian dollars.  Currency exchange rates may change in the event that you cancel, and these are NOT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF Sew Peaceful Quilting.
